Wood coatings
Wood Finishes
Urethane alkyds, long-oil alkyds and rosin-modified maleic resins for clear varnishes, sanding sealers and wood finishes.
Wood moves with season, humidity and use. The finish needs film integrity, grain visibility and clean colour. Our wood line includes chemistries for both penetrating varnishes and built films.

Formulation pointers
What to think about
Penetration vs build
Long-oil alkyds support penetration. Urethane alkyds suit faster-drying built films. Choose by finish type and application method.
Sanding sealers
UMaleic MR 20 is a standard sealer chemistry that sands cleanly under topcoats.
Movement tolerance
Urethane alkyds (FD-60) hold up across humidity swings better than classical alkyds.
